The studio at Portavadie is very ample and especially the king bed which you get lost in. I slept until about 6am and dosed back and forward until got up at 7.45 when we wanted to get to the breakfast for about 8am. The restaurant was literally next door and we were the first and the breakfast was 5 stars.
After back to the studio we knew that the weather was not going to be sunny and we rested and got to know the local area. We took a walk right next to the water, found the midges but scenery was beautiful however I was struggling with my legs and wished I could get this fitness back. When we returned I was very tired after a small walk and just rested and then decided that we should introduce ourselves to the swimming pool. This would be a swim for three months and I was surprised after 20 lengths and then going outside and enjoyed the massive hot tubs looking into Argyll scenery.
We decided to take the ferry, which is 100 yards from our studio, and this runs every hour sailing to Tarbert and decided to take Wee Joe with us. We had thought we would stay in Tarbert for two hours however arriving the rain was heavy as when we walked into the town, the best was the hidden fish shop and bought some fresh haddock. Wow!!
We bought provisions for the dinner with the haddock and as we were getting soaked, decided to get the next ferry and all three of us were dripping with water and decided to chilled out, prepare dinner and hopefully look forward tomorrow , a dry day.
Some pics of the ferry trip, with Wee Joe,and Tarbert.
Just heard today that Farage was resigning as leader of UKIP. I knew that he was right when he stated he was not a politician and I am delighted that democracy in UKIP finds the right leaders for Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. But what will the party re-called as?? I have had never known a country which has had a political vacuum before. Glad it is someone’s else to deal with.
I am going to enjoy the fresh fish caught on the Loch Fyne.
Have a nice sleep.
